The aim of the thesis called Assess the Influence of Stabling and Training Methods on Horses’ Behaviour is to assess possible differences in the behaviour of horses stabled in two types of stabling and in three different stables. The observed parameters include feed-water, searching for food and food intake, relaxing, excreting, hair care, exploratory and social behaviour, play, abnormal, sexual and maternal behaviour and training. The type of training and its influence on horses was assessed separately. Observation took place during all seasons and three times a day. The results were at first compared according to different year seasons and then between particular stables. There were small differences in year seasons. In spring searching for food and food intake prevailed, in summer feed-water, in autumn and winter searching for food and food intake as well as exploratory behaviour. Concerning stables differences were observed especially in abnormal, sexual and maternal behaviour. Abnormal behaviour was observed in stable Rubby Ranch most, sexual and maternal behaviour was observed in all stables, but mainly in stable JK Alika. Concerning the influence of training methods on horses’ behaviour worse relations were observed between horses in a more demanding and difficult training, particularly western training. Horses in other types of training had normal relations. These results show that both types of stabling are very good and they allow different ways of behaviour. Generally I would recommend stabling on grassland as it reminds horses their natural habitat. I would also recommend choosing the intensity of training with regard to horses’ abilities not just to the ambitions of the rider or the trainer. It is important not to overstrain horses and push them into extreme performance.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out and compare the behaviour of heifers of different age during rearing. Monitoring of heifers was carried out at Agriprod ltd., the company with Holstein and Czech Fleckvieh breeding dairy cattle. Monitoring was carried out for 24 hours with 5 minutes intervals. Observed behaviour included feed intake, rest, standing, movement and comfort behaviour. The average age of groups was 4.3 months (group 1), 11.0 months (group 2), 17.5 months (group 3) and 23.0 months (group 4). Lengths of basic categories of behaviour varied according to the age of animals. The feed intake time was 7.5 hours for the first group, 5.7 hours for the second group, 3.7 hours for the third group and 1.3 hours for the last fourth group. The average length of the rest category by the age groups was: 13.4 hrs, 14.7 hrs, 13.4 hrs, 12.3 hrs. Differences have been also discovered in the manifestations of comfort behaviour.

This diploma thesis deals with behaviour and relationships on summer integrational camp, where children raised in family and children raised in residential care meet with each other. The aim of this thesis is to describe the difference between these groups from the viewpoint of unit counsellors (in the area of behaviour at the camp, relationship with the authority of counsellor and relationships between children) and explore mutual relationships in units, primarily ascertain the position of the children who were raised in residential care. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the first chapter of the theoretical part potential differences between children raised in family and children raised in residential care are analysed. The second chapter deals with summer camps and which aspects have influence on children's stay at camp. In the empirical part the qualitative research itself is presented, with the questionnaires for counsellors as the main data source. These questionnaires provide the information about observed areas regarding all the children on the camp, who are participants of the research. Mutual relationships between children and position of the children raised in residential care inside units are examined using sociometry. The information obtained about both...
